The Secret Cabin provides the ultimate feeling of Nirvana. Situated in Seacliff, a lesser known part of East Lothian, it’s within easy reach of Edinburgh. This hidden gem is perfect for a romantic getaway and your four legged friends are also welcome here! Head down the track through the woods of the wonderful Seacliff estate to find your cosy cabin for the next couple of days. Perfectly secluded and within easy reach of one of Scotland’s best kept secret beaches.
Inside
Park up the car and within a few minutes you will reach your cabin of dreams and into your own little oasis. Inside The Secret Cabin you will find a fully fitted kitchen with a single oven & grill, double induction hob and a full sized fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster. There’s everything required to cook up a storm. Speaking of storms, you will find the comfiest bespoke bed awaiting your tired head, made from wood washed up on the beach. The gorgeous wooden bed is adorned with luxurious bedding and has underneath storage, so you can stay super organised during your stay. The Secret Cabin also provides lots of little luxuries to make your stay even more enjoyable. Eco friendly toiletries and spa slippers are supplied as well as tea, coffee and some delicious freshly baked goodies. The Secret Cabin provides the perfect excuse to put down that phone and ignore those emails. Experience a Digital Detox with no Wifi or TV. This idyllic cabin should definitely be next on your Staycation list!
Outside
If you thought the inside of the cabin was special, wait till you see the outside. The pretty north side of the garden is sheltered by the woods whereas the south facing garden is the perfect sun trap. On the private decking there is a BBQ/firepit, which is perfect for alfresco dining. In the evening, snuggle down in front of the flames and enjoy listening to the sounds of nature whilst star gazing into a clear night sky. The Secret Cabin is surrounded by bespoke quirks,which makes this retreat truly unique. Keep a look out for those eye-catching creations designed by the previous owner, who was a stained glass artist.

The Secret Cabin is located in Seacliff, a beautiful estate just four miles from the lively seaside town of North Berwick. The hidden gem of Seacliff beach is just a few minutes walk away from the cabin. Why walk when you could try your hand at Horse riding at Seacliff Stables? Located just a stone’s throw away from The Secret Cabin. For the historians amongst us, head over to the ruined 14th century Tantallon Castle. Situated just two miles away from the cabin, it’s easily approached by foot!
For the water babies amongst us, The Secret Cabin is in an idyllic location for taking advantage of everything the local area has to offer. Perhaps you fancy trying your hand at Kayaking or paddleboarding? Or maybe kayaking and coasteering? All of which is offered by ‘Venturing Out’, not too far away from your cosy cabin. There is also the opportunity to try your hand at surfing at Coast to Coast Surf School. In conclusion, there is an abundance of outdoor pursuits right on your doorstep.
In terms of eateries there is an array of wonderful restaurants to enjoy in North Berwick. During the summer months sample the delicious locally caught lobster at The Lobster Shack or The Rocketeer. The Herringbone also offers local craft beers, cocktails and mouth watering food made with seasonal and regional ingredients. On your journey to North Berwick stop off at Drift Cliff Top Cafe. Offering uninterrupted views of Bass Rock and over to Fife.
