Inside

Clad in gorgeous timbers with high quality modern design features and furnishings, The Rusty Boathouse is a glamping work of art. The space is divided into a triptych of living, sleeping and shower rooms, open along the sliding glass frontage. Wandering effortlessly between the spaces adds to the sense of ease and relaxation. With electric heating you can be comfy at any time of year.

Whip up a tasty salad with seafood fresh from the nearby harbour in the fully fitted kitchen. Spend your time alongside the tranquil lake views through your wall of glass. When night falls, slip into the luxurious bed linen of your king sized bed and pick a movie on the smart TV.  Wifi gives you the best of both worlds – stay remote or remain connected as and when you choose. The owners accept children by prior arrangement, as the proximity to open water is a consideration.

Outside

In spite of the luxury interior you may find you’re drawn out onto your decking and private jetty. Here you have a hot tub bubbling and fire pit stocked with logs overlooking the lake and surrounding countryside vistas. Spending time near water gives us an innate sense of well being, and steeping ourselves in warm bubbles at the same time is the ultimate modern luxury! How our ancestors missed out!

Pick a bottle of something cool and delicious to keep you hydrated and kick off those sandals. As night falls the scene becomes even more idyllic. The lights strung around the lake throw glimmering reflections onto the surface of the water below. However long you spend at The Rusty Boathouse it’ll be a scene you recall with a smile for a long time to come.

Beyond the farm gates lies the village of Llanarth with the Llanina Arms for pub meals after a Ceredigion Coast Path walk overlooking the bay. There is a fine selection of places to eat in the nearby towns of New Quay and Aberaeron  (Voted a Which? Top Seaside Resort). The Blue Bell Deli & Bistro overlooks the sea at New Quay and nearby Lime Crab has rave reviews for its special take on takeaway seafood.
