Experience life in a country village at this idyllic Shepherd’s Hut.

Located on the outskirts of the ancient village of Hooe, in East Sussex is The Green Hut. Situated in a tranquil spot, presiding over far reaching views of the open countryside. Within an easy drive of beautiful beaches, historic sites and lovely market and seaside towns. It offers the perfect quiet getaway for couples or small families. Sleeping a maximum of four people in a king sized bed and additional sofa bed. The space maybe small, but it is mighty! It is filled with thoughtful, caring touches and the location is gorgeous. Opt to relax and while away the hours away with books, games or conversation. Enjoy the gloriously toasty wood fired hot tub. Or explore the local area and beyond. Whatever you choose, end your day with an amble to the local pub, The Red Lion, for a hearty dinner. Then return home to the serenity of your little Green Hut.

Inside

With white internal cladding, the small yet perfectly formed interior of The Green Hut feels light and airy. Liberally sprinkled with green, blue and yellow accents throughout, the space feels homely. The open plan living space has a sofa that doubles as a second bed. The kitchenette, designed in a country kitchen style with its Belfast sink, comes with a mini fridge, kettle and toaster. Prepare for bed in the stylish ensuite shower room. And you’ll find the comfortable king sized bed tucked into a cute alcove. Prop up the pillows and snuggle in, observing the view through the window at the foot of the bed.

Outside

The Green Hut allows you to experience outdoor living, but in comfort. And the outside space is where you’ll likely most want to be. Recline in the deck chairs. Catching the rays in the summer or snuggling beneath a warm blanket on chillier days. Grill your meal over the firepit, toasting those marshmallows for dessert. Restoke the flames in the evening, remove the grill and huddle around allowing the flames to warm you. And keep the wood burning in the wood fired hot tub to achieve the perfect temperature. Slip in and enjoy the view, and much later, the sensational starry night.

If you feel like you’d like to leave the sanctuary of The Green Hut – you’re in luck! The local area and beyond is filled with interesting sights and things to do. With beaches within a ten minute drive around Bexhill-on-Sea. You could also visit the larger seaside town of Hastings or Eastbourne within a twenty minute drive. The small market town of Battle, named for the infamous Battle of Hastings in 1066 is just ten minutes away. Families will enjoy a day out at Knockhatch Adventure Park (twenty minutes). If all the star gazing in the hot tub has inspired you, head to the Observatory Science Centre (fifteen minutes). And you could also head to nearby Herstmonceux Castle for your history fix.
