Made of sustainable Estonian spruce and aspen to an authentic 200 year old design, the iglucraft can withstand temperatures of minus 25 degrees. Fortunately not likely here! But impressive!

The surrounding landscape and coastline is teaming with wildlife, history and natural drama to absorb you. Inside

With crisp, lime-white timber, natural materials and a touch of icy sparkle here and there, somehow Rock & Castle Escapes have created cool cosiness inside. In clean and modern Nordic style, the kitchen provides the basics with zero fuss. A window at the foot of your king size bed frames a picture of tranquillity outside. Snuggle up and chill out by the electric stove as you peruse the possibilities for exploration and adventure during your stay. Outside

These cosy iglu nests are fit for any climate – opening onto a sun deck set in a gallery of vistas, it won’t be long until the stresses of everyday life melt away. You are invited to breathe in the freshness and space. Wine and dine al fresco and watch the sky and the birds tumble and roll, and shafts of golden sun glide across the land.

There’s something for everyone – foodies won’t be dining in, but are definitely in for a treat! A host of restaurants serving harbour-fresh fayre such as The Lobster Shack, Osteria, and Rocketeer offer lip smacking memories to savour.

If you fancy catching your own supper, try some sea fishing from the pretty bustling harbour of North Berwick. The famous Scottish Seabird Centre is on the doorstep, or take a boat trip to see puffins, seals and the largest gannet colony in the world. If you don’t fancy taking to the sea, look out to Bass Rock from the popular clifftop coffee shop – Drift.

Walk from your iglucraft to the grand mediaeval Tantallon Castle, where you can climb to the battlements, or potter down to the sands of Seacliff private beach. North Berwick Yacht Club runs sailing courses for all abilities. You can hire an e-mountain bike or tour at EZ Riders, ride the coast on horseback from Seacliff Stables, surf, paddle or coasteer with Ocean Vertical or visit the UK’s first cable wakeboarding park at Foxlake Adventures.
