One Acre Wood is managed by Sean.
Minimum stay for this property is 2 nights.
Enjoy a flavour of living amongst the rustling leaves and the tweeting birds in these beautiful treehouses.
One Acre Wood offers the most incredible treehouse adventures, suitable for couples, friends and families alike. Located close to the Herefordshire village of Bishops Frome. Both treehouses sleep four adults plus two children across three bedrooms. And despite their treetop position, the home comforts are more than befitting of a five star nest.
Fuggle Treehouse is nestled within an enchanting woodland. Bramling Treehouse will be available to book from early 2024. Explore the surrounding countryside and reconnect with nature and each other.
Your treehouse at One Acre Wood has a rustic, natural vibe being coated throughout with warm wood tones. The lounge area has a sofa, along with armchairs gathered socially around the wood burning stove. Gather in the evenings for films on the Smart TV (yes, these treehouses have Wi-Fi!). Or enjoy a quieter evening with a good book, and music playing gently on the Bluetooth speaker. The handcrafted kitchen is a joy. Fully fitted with everything you could need for a self-catering break. A full size oven and hob, microwave and fridge. There is even a dishwasher – no arguments on who is on washing up duty here! Elsewhere you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms, two of which are king size. With the final bedroom being reserved for children only, with very cool bunk beds. And the bathroom is fabulous, coming with a sumptuous walk-in rainfall shower. And take the door onto the deck to bathe in the elements in your freestanding copper bath.
One Acre Wood may refer to the woodland, but the site has seventeen whole acres of grassy meadowland to explore. Discover hidden paths, touch the sky on the tree swings and take a break at the picnic benches. And there’s lots of activities available to keep the kids entertained. Bug hunting, den building, sledging (no snow required!), orienteering and nature trails. And if the day is quintessentially British (i.e. it’s raining), head to the Clubhouse. With table tennis, board games and a large tv, this is where indoor family fun can be found. There’s even a utility room here, should a washing machine be required.
One Acre Wood benefits from a rural location so lovely, that you may be unwilling to return to the real world! If you are feeling restless however, you may be keen to see a few local sights. If you’re missing the concrete jungle? The cathedral cities of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester are all within forty five minutes. And you’ll find the spa town of Cheltenham, which teeters on the edge of the Cotswolds, just fifty minutes away. If natural beauty is what you’re looking for, the Malvern Hills AONB is a twenty five minute drive. National Trust enthusiasts will enjoy a day out at Berrington Hall (thirty minutes). Meanwhile families will love a day of play and fun at nearby Newbridge Farm Park (fifteen minutes). And if you have a Thomas the Tank Engine fan, a trip to Drayton Manor is worth the extra journey time (seventy-five minutes).
