Lundy Lodge’s Castle View is managed by Pam.
Minimum stay for this property is 3 nights.
Rolling countryside views, soothing soaks in a bubbling hot tub and cool & sleek interiors await at one of Lundy Lodge’s exquisite glamping retreats – Castle View. Overlooking Painscastle Village with views toward the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons, an adventure for your senses and endless outdoor pursuits beckon you!
Sleeping four, Castle View offers a rural escape for those seeking a family holiday or for groups of friends in need of a long overdue catch up. Pull on your walking boots for rural rambles, or simply rest, sinking into a sumptuous sofa by the glowing log burner. This is rather a special place to bring your very special people.
Enter into the gorgeous open plan living, kitchen and dining area and instantly feel at home. The space is bright and airy thanks to the expansive french doors. Wait ‘til you see the kitchen…. Fully equipped with everything you’d require to cook up a storm. Meals can then be shared around the stylish dining table in front of that warming wood burning stove.
You have two premium bedrooms to choose from during your stay. One master bedroom with a sumptuous super king-size bed, and the other with a super-king zip-link bed that can be converted into twins. The real highlight of Castle View is the stunning, black freestanding bath in the master bedroom! All bedrooms are fitted out with luxurious bed linen, fluffy pillows, cosy duvets and even soft bathrobes to ensure the most restful night’s sleep.
An enclosed and private garden space is all yours throughout your stay! Offering excellent views of the scenic countryside, a balcony, sun loungers, a large hot tub and even a pizza oven. It’s a lovely spot for spending a lazy summer afternoon. Or, chilly nights stargazing from the hot tub. Enjoy a fun family pizza-making night or a girly wine tasting evening al fresco style!
Lundy Lodge’s Castle View is located near the small Welsh village of Painscastle. Boasting a prime position on the beautiful England/Wales border in between Builth Wells and the popular town of Hay-On-Wye. Hay is famous for its vast array of bookshops, the Hay-on-Wye Literature Festival, and How The Light Gets In, which is the world’s largest Music and Philosophy Festival – great for inquisitive people, young or old. While away endless hours reading book sleeves. Pick out some wonderful old hardbacks and enjoy your treasures with a mug of coffee from one of the delightful cafes. Builth Wells is also well known for its annual shows including the Royal Welsh Show which makes a wonderful family day out.
For lovers of outdoor pursuits, test yourself with a challenging climb up Pen-y-Fan or across the dramatic Black Mountains. Or book yourself a Wet ‘N’ Wild Adventure Day with Black Mountain Adventure. The possibilities locally are endless!
The lodge is wonderfully well-equipped but if you would like to be wined and dined, or have a special occasion to celebrate, there is a selection of lovely local eateries available such as the Roast Ox Inn, Painscastle. There are also plenty of restaurants and pubs to choose from in Hay on Wye such as Tomatitos Tapas Bar and Chapters.
