Camlad Valley Luxury Pods look out over an expanse of unspoilt countryside on the border between England and Wales. Perfect Offa’s Dyke accommodation. There are two pods on site, both are a short stroll from the famous path. Each of the two pods sleeps up to four people, the Corndon pod lodge has a double bed and a full sized single bunk bed. The Ridgeway pod has a double bed and a small double sofa bed which would be most suited for an additional adult or two children. The pods design is clean and modern with everything you would expect and more. Both sit perched upon a hillside with views over mid Wales, while to the East the Shropshire Hills AONB await exploration. Wining and dining is a short walk away along Offa’s Dyke, and a hot tub awaits your return…
Inside
The slick interiors of these luxury pods have all the mod cons you’d need, this is glamping after all There is a fully equipped kitchen in Corndon Pod and a kitchenette in Ridgeway Pod. Both pods also have bright and airy living spaces with HDTV and WiFi. The far reaching views pose serious competition for any screens seeking your attention. The pods have large round doors to one end, bringing the great outdoors in, even when you’re cosy inside during colder months. Quirky but simple interior design makes them a very pleasing place to relax.
Outside
Beyond your round doors is a generous decked area with seating and a hot tub, surrounded by countryside views. Sink into the bubbles before breakfast whilst the children enjoy the freedom to play. Then when evening comes, enjoy a glass of fizz and let the aromas from your barbeque fill the air. At night, stargaze as you laze beneath the dark skies and sunny days will reward you with an amazing sunset sky. Subtle sunken lights on the deck and beneath the bubbles of your hot tub give a luxurious ambience, as the deep blue of the night sky slowly darkens and twinkles.
Nearby
Perfectly placed for Offa’s Dyke, the famous path along the border between England and Wales. Fifteen minutes walk away is Mellington Hall Country House, a beautiful Grade II listed house and gardens serving morning coffee, afternoon tea and delicious meals. Just a little further away takes you to the Kerry Vale Vineyard. A great place to relax and enjoy a coffee, light lunch, afternoon tea and fabulous wine of course! There are a variety of places to eat out and enjoy local ales and wines in the historic market town of Montgomery, Bishop’s Castle and neighbouring villages. All within ten to fifteen minutes away by car. Head to The Checkers and the Dragon Hotel in Montgomery, The Nags Head Inn in Garthmyl, or the Three Tuns Inn and The Castle Hotel in Bishops Castle. Just to name but a few.
The Montgomeryshire and Shropshire Hills are rich with walking and cycling routes including the Kerry Ridgeway and the Long Mynd. Camlad Valley Luxury Pods looks out onto Corndon and Rownton Hill, a great walk with amazing views from the top. Take a tour of places of historical interest such as Montgomery Castle and Montgomeryshire canal and Powis Castle (National Trust) in Welshpool only 20 minutes by car and definitely worth a visit.
