The cabins at Cae Lal Glamping are situated close to Bangor, yet in a location that feels wonderfully secluded. This glamping and camping experience has an emphasis on sustainability and caring for the world we live in. Nature is revered and the environment deeply respected, which shines through in every element of this wonderful site. It’s a peaceful retreat, yet has a friendly communal space should you want it. Every aspect of Cae Lal Glamping has been lovingly designed as living proof of its ethos. This unspoiled landscape is one to escape in, although also within close reach of plenty of local attractions. The cathedral city of Bangor, and the beauty of Anglesey and Snowdonia National Park are nearby. There are also multiple amenities within a short drive.
Inside
There are two cabins to choose from at Cae Lal Glamping. Caban y Gors sits in the meadow overlooking the camping pitches and is located close to the onsite boutique wash facilities. These include wash basins, showers, and composting toilets. Inside the cabin you’ll find a kitchenette for the basics, including a fridge and crockery. The indoor dining space and cosy bed for two are perfectly situated to take advantage of the gorgeous meadow views.
Alternatively, Caban Marta is located in the garden and overlooks the Carneddau mountain range. This is the more self-contained option, which comes with its own kitchenette, shower, toilet and a private garden. But whichever cabin you choose, from the moment you enter you’ll feel a sweeping sense of calm and relaxation. Ideal for a peaceful, romantic getaway, these are glamping with a capital G. With a chic but rustic vibe everything is on brand. Natural or organic, Welsh made, reclaimed, second-hand or recycled. Even the toaster and kettle are created from 100% bio-based plastics.
Outside
Step out of the patio doors onto your own private decking space, complete with bistro set for al fresco meals and drinks. Caban Marta has the added luxury of a quirky wood fired hot tub. It’s the location and setting which really makes Cae Lal Glamping. A haven for nature, it feels as though you’re holidaying in a nature reserve! There’s a mindfulness nature trail and a magical solar-lit woodland path for you to experience. This is a quiet site, out of respect for the furry inhabitants. But with the facilities to bring people together. Y Sied (The Shed) is the communal space. It comes complete with a library, games, a multi games table and free tea/coffee, ideal for a wet afternoon. Outside you’ll find picnic tables, and on dedicated nights the campfire will be lit and everyone is invited!
Nearby
There is plenty to do and see locally, although you may be content to relax among the peace of Cae Lal Glamping! Why not book yourself a holistic therapy treatment – from aromatherapy massages and Reiki, to healing meditation and yoga. They are all available on-site, in your cosy cabin. Just over 10 minutes’ drive will take you to the National Trust property, Penrhyn Castle and Gardens. This is definitely a destination for history lovers, where a fairy tale facade disguises its dark roots. Bangor, one of the smallest cities in the UK is a short drive away. Small enough to explore on foot, and with plenty of cafes and pubs to enjoy. Watch the tides sweep into the narrow Menai Straits and meet. Cross the bridge to the Island of Anglesey. The Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path is ideal for keen hikers. Or you may wish to explore sand dunes and unspoiled beaches. With much of the coastline a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, they are not to be missed.
