About

Prepare for perfect peace and pure Cornish contentment at Colvase.

Located just four miles outside of the historic fishing town of Looe are these beautiful holiday cottages. Set amidst thirty-six acres and enjoying valley and woodland views, you can truly escape to the country. These tastefully renovated barn conversions are ideal for a romantic break for two. Perfectly balancing traditional character with modern convenience, they offer a home away from home experience. Even better, well behaved dogs are welcome too. And the local area is brilliant for your furry pal. With plenty of countryside walks to explore and loads of dog friendly options come mealtimes.

Both cottages have one bedroom each. Valentines has a king size bed, perfect for couples. While Courtyard offers the choice of having the zip/link super king bed laid out as twin beds. Perfect if you’re taking a break with a friend.

Inside

At Colvase you get a sublime mix of tradition meeting modern design. The spacious interiors offer extra height with A frame beams. While slate floor tiles are ably warmed thanks to cosy underfloor heating. Courtyard offers a subtle nautical theme throughout. Blue hues and themed accents are tastefully scattered throughout. Based all on one level, the open plan living space has a comfy corner sofa to settle into and watch the Smart HDTV. Light the wood burning stove and rustle up your meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Coming with an oven and hob, fridge with ice box, microwave, toaster, kettle and a Tassimo coffee machine. As well as a super king sized bedroom, and a fantastic shower room.

Valentines offers all the same facilities but is slightly different in look. Recently refreshed, it’s a bright, sunny space. Split level, you enter into a dining space which has a glass walkway towards the lounge area. Featuring garden views, this is a cosy space to relax in. Head downstairs, and you’ll find your kitchen, along with the bedroom and shower room.

Outside

Both cottages at Colvase have their own private, enclosed garden space. While you can access this through the kitchen in Valentines. Courtyard has a detached garden, which you can find opposite the property. Perfect for al fresco dining and looking out across the glorious valley and woodland views. There is also secure storage outside if guests want to bring a kayak, mountain bike, or surf board, offering peace of mind that your items are safe during your stay.

Nearby

Colvase is just four miles away from the fishing town of Looe. Sample the fresh seafood it is famed for in one of its many fantastic restaurants. Or simply explore the local shops and cafes. If you fancy a hike, walk the South West Coastal path to the traditional fishing village of Polperro. Quaint and picturesque, the narrow streets are traffic free and lovely to roam around. For morning walks, dog friendly Seaton Beach is just over ten minutes away. And it’s also a popular choice for keen surfers too. For those with energy to burn, nearby Adrenalin Quarry has plenty of activities to offer! If you love history, head to Bodmin Moor and learn all about the mysterious Hurlers Stone Circles.
