Relish the peace and tranquillity of this intimate adults only hideaway.  Wake up to the sunrise and enjoy the stunning view from your bed. Or enjoy an al fresco breakfast on the veranda, listening to the birdsong.  In the evening, make use of the fire bowl and snuggle up to gaze at the stars in the dark skies. Owners Tom & Jenny, have lovingly restored their three-acre garden over the last ten years. And avid gardeners may enjoy a guided tour or simply take a stroll to explore for yourselves. Beyond these gardens, lies an acre walled garden, which is perfect for a quiet moment to sit and reflect.

The Laundry Retreat is set in the grounds of The Laundry, a beautiful grade II listed property. Surrounded by huge rolling views, stunning gardens and even a woodland, it’s the perfect location for a relaxing rural retreat.  A refreshing haven from the everyday hustle & bustle in the scenic, quiet vista of North Wales.  You may just want to put your feet up and recharge your batteries, embracing the fresh country air and the scenery.  But if you do wish to explore, North Wales is a hot spot for tourism. With an abundance of walks,  such as the Offa’s Dyke. Or perhaps a visit to Denbigh Castle and other historic attractions.

Inside

The Laundry Retreat houses two super stylish eco roundhouses, Tilia and Ilex.  Each with unique fixtures and fittings to embrace the beautiful curvature of the rotunda. Tilia their first roundhouse (latin for Lime) features bright and fresh interiors. Whilst their second build, Ilex (latin for Holly) boasts rich earthy décor. With the masterpiece being the woodland mural which really helps to bring the outdoors in. To the centre of each roundhouse, a sublime king sized bed allows you to enjoy the picturesque panorama without leaving the comfort of the luxury linen sheets. Delight in the feel of underfloor heating as you emerge from bed. And prepare breakfast in the quaint kitchenette complete with fridge, toaster and kettle. And hiding behind a door lies a modern and sleek bathroom with walk -in shower.

Outside

As you step out to the veranda with table and seating, you can’t fail to breathe in the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings. Enjoy a light bite from the outdoor kitchen with hob and oven. And perhaps light the fire bowl and gaze at the stars to while away the evening. The Laundry Retreat boasts beautiful gardens and woodlands right on the doorstep, a particular delight for keen gardeners.

Nearby

The Laundry Retreat nestles between the market towns of Denbigh and Ruthin, on the border of Llanrhaeadr Village.  Which is in the stunning vale of Clwyd, with outstanding views of the Clwydian range AONB. Historic Denbigh, with its secret gardens and more listed buildings than any other town in Wales, is sure to wet the appetite of culture lovers. For those seeking outdoor adventures, there is a wealth of landscape ready to be explored either on foot or two wheels.

A trip to the top of Moel Famau, Welsh for ‘Mother Mountain’, with the iconic Jubilee Tower perched at the top promises breath taking views, wildlife spotting and a history lesson. Or venture under 30 minutes by car to Llyn Brenig reservoir for some picturesque trails and routes and even a spot of world class fishing!  Further afield Snowdonia is approximately just over an hour away with an abundance of walking and activities. And for those in search of an adrenalin buzz, a visit to Zip World is a must!
